After earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, Dr. Akkad completed a Masters in Prosthodontics at West Virginia University School of Dentistry, followed by a one-year Fellowship in Dental Sleep Medicine, Orofacial Pain and TMJ Disorders at the world renowned Orofacial Pain Center at the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry in Lexington.
Since 2008 his work was focused on prosthodontics, implants, Orofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine. He then opened Sleep & Snoring Solutions in Arlington in late 2012, and acquired Simple Sleep Services in 2019.
